Flights for Christ 2018-01-17T21:26:18+00:00
On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti.  Approximately 316,000 people perished in the quake and 1.6 million people were left homeless as a result.  For some reason, this disaster really caught our attention.  We began praying for the people involved in this catastrophe.  Then our prayers changed to: how can we help, how can we be used?  We came to the realization that we have been blessed with the ability and resources to provide transportation by air and that’s when Flights for Christ was born.
Flights for Christ was established as a corporation on January 5, 2011 and officially became a 501(c)3 not-for-profit on August 21, 2011.The vision of Flights for Christ is:

  • To act in a supporting role connecting Southern Illinois and the surrounding area with Haiti and the Domican Republic.
  • To provide a means of transporting supplies, missionaries, medical personnel, equipment, etc. domestically and abroad.
  • To provide compassion flights to those with medical needs, family crises, etc.

Each request is prayerfully considered and determined by need and our budgetary limits at the time of the request. In addition to domestic compassion flights, and based off our current budget, we are planning 2-3 trips per year to Haiti or the Dominican Republic with the first trip taking place by March 2012.

James 2:14-17:  “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such a faith save him?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Nicolet Bible Institute 2018-01-17T20:49:32+00:00

It is our vision that the students who complete the Nicolet Bible Institute program will leave with a solid Biblical foundation, a passion to serve others, and an appetite to evangelize their world. We need Christians in all walks of life who know God, know His Word, and are committed to serving our King in the local church.

The Nicolet Bible Institute is not for everyone, but it is an important option for those who choose to serve our King in a secular or ministry setting. Students have come to us from all over the United States and inquiries have come from all over the world. Some students intend to continue their ministry education, some have already graduated from college, and some are planning to head right into a secular work-world ministry.

Wherever you will end up, we invite you to consider the opportunities that Nicolet Bible Institute is offering to you. We look forward to serving you, your family, and our God, as He continues to give us the opportunity.

MISSÃO DO CÉU 2018-01-17T20:41:26+00:00

Basically we are the fruit of the knowledge that the Border Project has produced over the unreached by Amazon mapping research, experience accumulated in years of service to the missionary aviation and called a group of Christians to take the message of Christ to the more distant places in northern Brazil.

The union of these elements developed a vision of how the church can be more effective to bring the gospel further, in the less assisted in terms of missionary projects.

But the realization of this vision was made possible from the desire of another group of brothers in investing in an unprecedented manner in missions in the Amazon, or the availability of an aircraft able to cross the Amazon region in a few hours, with maximum payload and at the lowest possible cost.

Thus, on March 15, 2015, a group of 14 brothers came together to make this vision into reality and founded the Sky Mission Association, whose purpose is to carry the gospel farther away, where there are no viable air logistics support and a mission aircraft model renovated with aggregates departments that focus on enhancement of evangelization Amazon.

MARC (Missionary Aviation Repair Center) 2018-01-17T20:24:47+00:00

Impacting Remote Alaska with the Hope of Jesus Christ through Mission Aviation

Across the vast roadless wilderness of Alaska are hundreds of isolated villages where Americans live in third-world conditions.  The rich native culture has been overwhelmed by rampant alcoholism, teen suicide, joblessness, and spiritual darkness.

The inhospitable terrain, depressing isolation, high cost of living, inadequate housing, bitter weather, and winter darkness only serve to compound the rapidly changing cultural standards.

Fostering true change is difficult for many villages due to the lack of connecting roads.  Exposure and access to Christian influence and care is likewise limited—and sadly, women and children are affected the most.

Less than 100 villages have any established evangelical church, pastor, or missionary presence; and many have no followers of Jesus Christ.  When there is a pastor or missionary in the village, they are also isolated and cutoff from the normal spiritual and support networks typically afforded other Christian workers.

Pastors and missionaries in village churches are fighting an uphill battle to share Christ in meaningful ways to an increasingly hard-to-reach population.

Missionary Aviation Repair Center (MARC) has provided a lifeline of hope to these villages, strengthened the ministry of Christians, and expanded the reach of the Gospel across the Alaskan frontier since 1964.

Today, MARC has a fleet of airplanes that fly throughout western Alaska and even across the Bering Sea into eastern Russia.  We provide affordable transportation services, training, and quality airplane maintenance for mission organizations through our own internal staff of missionary families who raise their own financial support to serve with MARC.  We’re privileged to serve God here.

Aerocet Inc 2018-01-17T20:17:27+00:00

Our entry into this market demanded we address the failures of previous composite floats. Due to improper use of materials and poor hydrodynamic design, a stigma needed to be overcome. But, since our certification over twenty years ago, critics and skeptics alike have come to appreciate the new-found quality of composite floats.

Float owners and operators are our biggest research database, and their opinions are the most respected. Our float design comes directly from what they require and what they would like to see improved, and with the development of new models, their desires will continue to be met. We have built an outstanding reputation of being the company that will go the extra mile for our customers, and we would love to provide you with a set of floats that will prove to be unrivaled.

South America Mission 2018-01-17T20:09:52+00:00

Imagine an aerial view of a Cessna 206 float plane, suspended above the backdrop of an Amazon River tributary with a remote village on its flooded banks. In that view, all the pieces come together and convey aviation’s integral role in the ministry of South America Mission: transporting fulfillers of the Great Commission to the hard-to-reach places, to the people in those remote, village homes, with the good news of Jesus. SAMAIR Peru is landing planes and creating crossroads of humanity, and intersections of lives, to make God known.

By God’s mighty hand and with your faithful support, Wings of Faith accomplished many milestones in 2016, bringing the message of love and salvation to hurting people on Reservations in America’s Southwest region. Our motto is “Real People Meeting Real Needs.” Wings of Faith provides on-going support and donations to missionaries mainly serving Native American populations in the United States and is committed to helping the poor, abused, hungry and forgotten people in these communities. Our organization utilizes a team of volunteers to pilot light aircraft and drive ground vehicles to spread the gospel of Christ in tangible ways by transporting Bibles, food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessary aid to those who need it most.

One of two aspects to the business behind The Angel Aircraft Corporation (AAC) is The Kings Engineering Fellowship (TKEF) which was formed to design and develop the aircraft. It was created as a non-profit organization and, through donations, was able to raise funds for the research and development of the aircraft. Since certification of the Angel in 1992, TKEF has continued to make design improvements to the aircraft, and continues to rely on tax-deductible, donated support.

Pilots for Christ, International (PCI) 2017-10-31T18:51:36+00:00

As members of Pilots for Christ, International (PCI), we acknowledge Jesus Christ to be both true God and true man. We accept Him as our personal Savior, and Savior of the world. In gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of flight, we endeavor to use our interest in aviation to promote His Gospel throughout the international aviation community, in particular, and the world in general, through service.

We will use only honest and ethical means in serving those in need. We provide our services free of charge to any person in need, regardless of their race, religion, or ethnic identity.

Our areas of service are:

  • Counsel and instruct youth groups about flying
  • Fly and drive missions of mercy
  • Transport patients, relatives, and supplies
  • Transport ministers to their mission stations
  • Transport anyone with an appropriate travel need
  • Witness at air shows, airports, and in our everyday lives
  • Foster Christian fellowship at meetings, at or near airports
  • Distribute tracts and Bibles free of charge at air shows and airport
  • Providing ground transportation where necessary and appropriate

To further these ends, chapters are recognized by the International Headquarters to function in specific geographical locations. Each chapter self-monitors, so that flight standards equal or exceed FAA requirements. Members are obliged to conform to the above principles.

The true strength lies in our chapters. One person working alone can do many things in His name, but a chapter working together can accomplish miracles in His name. PCI has many chapters, and new ones are forming. If you have a chapter in your area, get active in it. If you don’t have a chapter in your area, we will be more than happy to help you start one. It isn’t hard.

Missionary Safety International 2017-10-31T18:28:06+00:00

Missionary Aviation is not for the faint of heart. Flying in remote areas of the world helping to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ requires years of training and a heart full of devotion. Yet, in spite of the dedication and professionalism of most aviation staff, there are still far too many accidents robbing missions of their effectiveness.

However, for 30 years there has been help and hope coming out of the hills of eastern Tennessee. Since its incorporation as a non-profit mission agency in 1983, Mission Safety International (MSI) has worked tirelessly to meet the safety needs of mission aviation departments spread from one side of the globe to the other. While small and agile as an organization, MSI has developed connections with a host of experienced aviation and safety volunteers who can be called upon at a moment’s notice to meet specific needs just about anywhere in the world.

At the end of the day, safety means more supplies to needy people, more medical services for hurting people, fewer missionaries making dangerous treks through the jungle, more time spreading the Gospel, and fewer aircraft accidents.

Mission Padamo Aviation and Support 2017-10-31T18:23:54+00:00

Mission Padamo Aviation and Support was founded for the purpose of supporting and assisting missionaries and indigenous people of Amazonas, Venezuela. Our goal is to have flight service stationed up in the jungle where it is most needed. There has been a missionary presence in Amazonas state since 1946, and aviation support since 1965. Since February 8, 2006, however, missionaries and all indigenous communities in Amazonas have been left with no air support.

MPAS is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit, faith-based organization that believes the command Christ gave His disciples of “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature,” is as real for us today as it was for the disciples. We are attempting to live our lives to show by word and deed that we are His disciples. By His example, we endeavor to make disciples, translate the Scriptures, and train teachers and leaders, who in turn reach out to their own people and continue the discipleship process.

Mission Padamo Aviation & Support is a member of Mission Safety International (MSI). MSI performs safety audits on missionary aviation agencies around the world. To find out more about MSI, please click here.

MPAS is also a member of the International Association of Missionary Aviation (IAMA). IAMA serves as a vital tool to missions aviation agencies, sending organizations, schools, missionaries and candidate missionaries.

Mission Flight Group, Inc. 2017-10-21T17:21:46+00:00

Mission Flight Group, Inc. (formerly Missionary Aviation Institute) is dedicated to providing missionary aviation pilot training for evangelical, medical, church planting and humanitarian emergency airlift ministries around the world.

Traditional commercial flight schools are simply not designed to train pilots for operations in rough, and remote environments:

  • How to avoid animals on a runway
  • How to make loading and go/no-go decisions considering weather and terrain while the life of a passenger hangs in the balance.

Preparing for such extreme scenarios requires “purpose-built” training that goes beyond simply meeting FAA requirements.

Our graduates, former students and former staff have gone into service around the world with Africa Inland Mission (AIM), Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), Baptist International Mission, Inc. (BIMI), Baptist Mid-Missions (BMM), Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples (BMFP), Evangelical Baptist Missions (EBM), Gospel Fellowship Association (GFA), JAARS (formerly Jungle Aviation and Radio Service), Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF), New Tribes Mission (NTM), Samaritan’s Purse, Serving in Mission (SIM), United Indian Missions (UIM), Wycliffe Bible Translators, and other mission organizations and ministries.

Relative to missionary aviation, we provide partners like SIL and affiliates of the Wycliffe Global Alliance with aircraft, pilot and mechanic training, operating and safety standards, field operating support, parts supply, research & development, and more. We operate from the 550-acre JAARS Center and Townsend Field in North Carolina, conducting training at our own airport and a range of landing strips here and in the North Carolina mountains. Our aviation staff is involved in recruiting, training, FBO management, commercial repairs, training fleet maintenance, field needs assessment, acquisition and preparation of aircraft for global partners, and more.

I-Tec 2017-10-21T16:49:40+00:00

Today, ITEC focuses in five major areas; Health, Engineering, Aviation, Media, and Discipleship. The technology, training, and tools we develop in these areas exist to equip indigenous Christ-followers and churches to meet a need in their community, opening doors for the Gospel to be shared.

ITEC trains indigenous Christ-followers who are a part of the local church and understand the culture. This allows them to expertly meet the needs of that specific community. Whether the student is being trained in basic dentistry or to tell stories through video, the mission will continue long after the training ends.

Our training encourages interdependence and emphasizes a Gospel-centered mindset.

Covington Aircraft 2017-10-21T16:12:13+00:00

Covington Aircraft specializes in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of the PT6A, R-1340, and R-985 aircraft engines as well as accessories.

In addition to engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, we perform engine installations, operate state-of-the-art engine testing facilities, and maintain a complete inventory of engine parts and accessories. We’re centrally located in the U.S. near Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tulsa International Airport (TUL). We also have the advantage of utilizing Okmulgee Regional Airport (OKM), a smaller, more private runway. Covington performs all stages of engine repair and overhaul work in-house. We perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of critical parts prior to use, and use computer-controlled machinery for necessary machining, grinding, and balancing prior to assembly. An on-site Quality Control inspector oversees every step of the overhaul process, and when a rebuild is complete, the engine testing and run-in is performed at our own engine testing facilities to verify the highest quality rebuild possible.

Christian Pilots Association of Alaska 2017-10-18T19:04:01+00:00

We are mostly aircraft owners, using our giftedness as pilots and our own aircraft to share the Gospel message with those in “Bush Alaska”, over 100 villages have no pastor or christian witness. Our Goal is to share this need with “the church” so that the Great Commission may be fulfilled.

Christian Pilots Association of Alaska, Inc. is an Alaska based, non-profit, interdenominational 501(c)(3) corporation.

Our mission is to provide transportation and other services to pastors of the outlying villages, visitation, and humanitarian aid when needed. Most recently the Eagle flood victims on the Yukon River. On many occasions, church groups need to move between villages and do not have funds for commercial transportation. This is when CPA steps in and fills the gap.

Our services are not limited to pastors and evangelists. We also serve lay people who minister through visitation and Bible study. Some villages do not have a pastor or even an organized church. It is a great blessing to these people when someone, especially another native person, is able to come and lead a service or a Bible study.

Our situation here is very unique within the United States in that roads are virtually non-existent. Air transportation is often the only practical way to travel from village to village, and scheduled flights do not connect all villages to the others. We regularly travel as much as 400 miles out from Our home base, and sometimes even further. Villages range in size from 50 to 700 people. But numbers are not a consideration here. These few need the Good News of Jesus as well as the many.

We, as pilots, are only pilots until we arrive in the village. Than we minister in any way possible. This could be anything from splitting wood or packing water to sharing a testimony in a praise service. Ministry is not limited to just preaching the Word. We also minister among non-Christian pilots by our own personal testimony and fellowship with this professional group as many of us are pilots by vocation.

In light of the Gospel Commission, Adventist World Aviation (AWA) exists to provide logistical air support in remote parts of the world, to carry out humanitarian work.

Adventist World Aviation is a humanitarian aid organization; a supporting ministry of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Founded in 1995 by the General Conference president and administration to meet the demands of isolated frontier missionaries in desperate need of air support. AWA has operations in the United States (including Alaska), Canada, Philippines, Nicaragua, Brazil and Guyana. AWA operates a fleet of over 20 aircraft. Our mission flights support isolated communities in a variety of ways: medical evacuations; medical outreach, such as vaccinations and general clinics; dental outreach; lifestyle and health programs; and Christian ministries, such as church planting and Bible studies. In addition to our mission projects, AWA operates two flight schools in our SDA Academies; one at Heritage Academy in Tenesee and one at Thunderbird Academy in Arizona. We have an office in Canada with corporate headquarters located in the U.S. in North Carolina.

All of AWA missionary and operational support is provided by donations. Our donors receive monthly newsletters and appeal letters, and the quarterly issue of AirWays.

San Diego Christian College 2017-10-18T18:11:55+00:00

San Diego Christian College’s degree program in Aviation combines flight training with a unique academic course of study, enabling the student to build the skills necessary to attain a career in professional aviation while gaining a solid foundation in biblical knowledge.

Our program has a commitment to having our students serve Christ–whether missionary, military, or commercial aviation. While earning their degree, students will receive their Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. We have options for additional ratings in multi-engine and turbine transition (Kodiak through Spokane Turbine Center).

We are located in Santee California, near San Diego, with excellent flying weather at our base airport – Gillespie Field (KSEE).

Our flight program is small enough to maintain personal accountability and strong camaraderie. Most of our instructors are graduates of our program gaining experience as they build flight hours. Through our flight training provider, SAA Int’l, we have 16 aircraft available including 172, 172RG, Beech Duchess Precision Flight Control AATD simulators as well as a full-motion REDBIRD FMX AATD flight simulator to enhance training.

Our Flight Team competes in NIFA Region 2 and has won bids to the National SAFECON championships for 7 of the past 8 years. Our pilots raise their own funds for competition and fly their planes cross-country to compete. Flight Team embodies the competitive spirit and further refines the precision flying skills required in missionary, military or commercial aviation careers. Our primary focus is developing pilots for the mission field.

Our goal is to create godly, christian pilots with solid stick and rudder skills capable of spreading the gospel wherever God calls them in the aviation industry.

MMS Aviation (Missionary Maintenance Services Aviation) 2017-10-18T18:12:40+00:00

MMS Aviation (Missionary Maintenance Services Aviation) prepares people and planes for worldwide mission service. People are prepared to serve as missionary airplane mechanics through a thirty-month aviation maintenance apprenticeship program. Over the course of the program, each apprentice logs a minimum of 4,800 hours of hands-on experience performing the actual maintenance, modification, and repair of missionary aircraft from ministries all over the world. Because MMS is a full-time faith-based mission, apprentices are also introduced to the non-technical realities of mission service and the challenges of full-time ministry.

In special situations where a broken airplane can’t be flown, trailered, or shipped to our facility in Coshocton, OH, MMS will send a “Rapid Response Team” of mechanics to the airplane.

Since 1975, MMS has provided maintenance services to 96 different ministries, placed 64 graduates in field service, sent 128 Rapid Response teams to locations around the world, and performed more than 475 major repairs and restorations of missionary aircraft. A unique part of our ministry is that we do not charge mission organizations for our labor.

In 2010, MMS mechanics and apprentices worked on 31 aircraft from 15 different ministries and invested over 11,000 maintenance man-hours in mission aircraft repair, overhaul, and modification. Currently, MMS has 14 families serving as core staff and there are 5 apprentice families in the program.

Andrews University 2017-10-18T18:15:32+00:00

From the very start, back in 1874, Andrews University has placed serious scholarship, quality research and a strong focus on practical Christianity first on the list of things we think are important about attendance at a Christian university. We started out small. Mr. Goodloe Bell, a teacher, started a tiny school with only 12 students in Battle Creek, Michigan. This was the birth of what we now know as Andrews University. Today, Andrews is the best-known Adventist educational institution in the world.

At Andrews we are serious about giving you choices. We offer options in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. If you feel like spending a year abroad, you can choose from an impressive range of opportunities at Andrews affiliate schools or service posts around the globe. We are real people at Andrews. Whatever it is you choose to do here, we aim to make sure that you achieve balance between theory and practice, and experience growth on your personal spiritual journey.

We are named after John Nevins Andrews (1829–1883), the biggest thinker in the 19th-century Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was also the first sponsored missionary that the Church sent overseas. J.N. Andrews’ example of careful thought and compassionate action in Christian life is something we have taken to heart. Our motto is “Seek Knowledge. Affirm Faith. Change the World.”

Students from across the United States and around the globe are attracted to Andrews because of what we stand for and what we offer. “U.S. News and World Report” says that Andrews is one of the most culturally diverse universities in the nation.
